My Little Christmas Helper

Just a quick post today.  I'm in the middle of the Christmas rush, trying to get last minute presents, and get ready for the day, so I thought that I'd post a few of my favourite pics of the past week ;-D

Hope you enjoy!

Short and Sweet

Happy Easter to all!  Just a quick post today.  My feet are still sore from the Garden Expo yesterday - see Country drive and the Garden Expo - as well as my recent hydrotherapy, but I've managed to keep busy with my books.

The year that was 2012

Well my dears, Christmas has been and gone and as we come to the close of 2012 I find myself reflecting on the year that was.

So many of my favourite books have come from this year, and I even found a new author - or three - that I will follow in the future.  This year I time travelled my way through Shadow of Night with Diana and Matthew as they rubbed shoulders with Marlowe other Elizabethan celebrities, and mentally helped kick ass with Eve Dallas as she chased a madman with delusions of grandeur around NY.  Got caught up in a battle with Gods and Goddess' as I followed Atticus O'Sullivan, and flew with Jason and Princess Mahiya as they swept across the desert sands of India on angelic wings.  I eagerly awaited the hatching of Kaylin Neya's mysterious egg, and laughed at Stephanie Plum as she got into yet more trouble ... "but it wasn't my fault!".

So here's to the year that was, and the bright and shiny year that could be.  May all your books be fabulous in 2013!

Happy New Year to you all.

Bored senseless

It's time for the Easter holidays here in Australia so every child (and their iPhones) are roving around the shopping centres in packs. Thank GOD it's been too much trouble to go into town for anything other than the basics.

This week has been one of the most boring that I can remember.  I've been re-reading books that I've already digested many times over, TV has just had the most annoying and stupid programs on - and those that I've actually wanted to watch have coincided with others of interest making me choose, damn it{stamping foot in little tantrum}  With all this rain any outdoors activities or chores have had to be postponed as it is extremely soggy underfoot.  I ask you, what's a girl to do?

To fill up some time I've been studying - again boring - and trying to keep my mind active with lists and notes, etc.

Stick a fork in me, I'm done.  I'll just crawl into bed and pull the covers over my head . . . wake me when it's over!
