T5W - Most Anticipated Releases of 2015

Hello, and welcome to my first T5W post of 2015!  I can't believe it's already here.  The days go so quickly now ;-D

This week it seems appropriate that we are delving into our wishlists to come up with our top 5 most anticipated books being published in 2015.  I have so many pre-orders in my wishlist it's not funny, but I have gone through them and found the 5 that I am desperately want to get my hands on.

So, in no particular order, here are my Top 5:

Note: I scoured the author's websites to find any more details about the cover art - or book title - for the last two books, but alas, nothing.  In the future though, I will swap out the generic place holders for the final artwork as it becomes available.

So, these are my most 5 anticipated books for 2015 - for now ;-D.  It could always change especially since the first 3 are on shelves by Feb/March.

Anyway, as you know T5W was created by the lovely Lainey at GINGERREADSLAINEY and I'll include a link to the Goodreads group {here} if you would also like to participate.  If you have any questions or comments, then please feel free to leave them down below.

Best of luck with all your reading challenges/goals in 2015.

Until later,

Book Outlet reply

Hello, my lovelies! Just a quick update on my Book Outlet/Fuzzy Nation rant from last week.  On Sunday I received a reply to the email I'd sent to Book Outlet regarding the condition of Fuzzy Nation in my Black Friday order.  Surprisingly, the response was quick and not at all antagonistic or combative.  They just wanted a pic of the damage and were then happy enough to refund the price of the book.  I would have liked the cost of shipping refunded as well (it's way more than the book was!), but I can't see that happening.

So I'll be about $4-5 richer in the coming days :-D - perhaps I'll buy a small Cookies 'n' Cream Chiller at Gloria Jeans with said refund to celebrate?

Until next time,

T5W - Favourite Books of 2014

Happy New Year!

I hope you all have a fabulous night - and aren't too hung over this morning ;-D  Just a quick post as I spaced yesterday and forgot to post my T5W post on my favourite books of 2014.  This will be super quick as I'm sure no one wants to be bogged down with a huge amount of text.

As always, T5W was created by the lovely Lainey at GINGERREADSLAINEY and I'll include a link to the Goodreads group {here} if you would also like to participate.  If you have any questions or comments, then please feel free to leave them down below.

So, on to my Top 5 Favourite Books for 2014.

Book Outlet haul of disappointment

Well my lovelies, it looks like my final post for the year is a gripe.  Sorry bout that, but my Black Friday order finally arrived on the 29th December and I was so excited to open the box and put my new books up on my shelves.  That was until I examined my copy of Fuzzy Nation.  Now not only did the book have a weird call number sticker on the spine (which was a pain to get off!), but when I went to remove the dust jacket to have a look at the naked book cover it was stuck to the inner cover paper.  What the...?  Carefully I peeled back the dust jacket flap and found not only was this cover a replacement cover for the one that had obviously been ripped when removing it, but there was still glue in sections and the paper was torn.  So not happy!

The most annoying thing about it is that it wasn't only the front cover of the book that was affected.  No, same thing has happened on the back cover too!

Plus this big old hunk of glue that annoys me and I still have the problem of figuring out how to remove all this glue crap without damaging the cover.

Oh, and they also charged me a automatic amount for international shipping of $35 yet it only cost them $25 to send!

Not impressed Book Outlet!

Happy Holidays, and all the best for 2015.  I hope your final book hauls of 2014 ended better than mine did!

Unitl next year,

Bee good

Walking down the street - opposite my library - there are these native plants that are just overflowing with blossoms.  Bees are everywhere and I couldn't resist snapping a few photos.  If you think the little bee in the bottom photo is a tad strange it's because its a native bee ;-D

Reminds me to just stop and appreciate the small things ;-D
